About Abdul Wadood — and why LOTICI exists

I'm Abdul Wadood, an electrical site engineer based in Saudi Arabia, and LOTICI is my personal lab for electrical engineering knowledge, practical AI tools and honest product guidance.

Engineering background

I hold a BS in Electrical (Electronics) Engineering from COMSATS University, Abbottabad, and I am registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council. Over more than eight years in the field I have worked as an electrical site engineer and site in-charge across power and industrial projects in Saudi Arabia — including power transformer installation, testing and commissioning, 380 kV GIS substation work, large reactive-power compensation equipment, and instrumentation & control site engineering in the petrochemical sector. My day-to-day specialism is transformer execution: getting large power transformers received, erected, tested, oil-processed and energised safely, with the documentation to prove it.

That experience is the source of everything on this site — start with the power transformer testing and commissioning guide, and use the transformer calculators for the arithmetic behind the tests.

Volt & Coil

I also run Volt & Coil, a YouTube channel that explains electrical engineering visually for a global audience: youtube.com/@voltandcoil. LOTICI is the written companion to the channel — the guides, calculators and checklists you can open on a phone at site.
